The primary use for Threaded Inserts is repairing damaged threads and improving the thread strength of the parent material, but they can also be used as a method of changing to or from unified to metric threads as well. Wixroyd’s Threaded Inserts feature a locking key design and are available in steel, carbon steel or stainless steel. They are also easy to install and remove without the need for special drills, tape or pre-winder tools. We are able to provide military grade Threaded Inserts on request as well as regular specifications for commercial use.
Note: internal threads over 5/16 feature four locking keys, smaller internal thread feature two. If you would like more assistance on using Threaded Inserts for your application, our technical support team is happy to provide assistance, or you can request a free catalogue with detailed product specifications.
